Site Use Guide Print

This guide offers a quick over-view of the site and its basic functions.

The left-most column contains the navigation menus, starting with the "Main Menu" is available to all users. As usual, "Home" takes you to the beginning page of the site.

"Workshop Schedule" displays a calendar system listing scheduled workshop events. It allows you to select among several calendar views, including "by Year", "by Month", "by Week", and "Today".  It also allows searching for a given workshop by key words and by event dates.  Another option is to "Jump to Month" where you can select a given month and year. Each of these options is selected by clicking on the appropriate calendar icon at the top of the page.

Navigation arrows are also available so that you can jump forward or backwards from the current selection.  The single arrow moves forward or backward by one unit of time, depending on which view is currently displayed.  (e.g. one week, one month, etc).  The double arrow moves ahead or back by multiple units.  For the Month view, the double arrows move forward or backward by 12 months, (1 year).  For all other views, they move by one month.

Regardless of the calendar view selected, you can access workshop details by clicking on the name of any workshop displayed on the page.  This brings you to the main page for the event.  This is usually detailed information about the event, similar to that which is available from a workshop brochure.

At the bottom of the workshop main page you can “Click here to register for this event”. This will take you directly to the registration process for that event. There is also a “Back” label which allows a return to the previous calendar page.

"Workshop Registration" presents a list of all available workshops where the registration sequence can be initiated. The first registration step is to select the workshop to be registered.  This can be done on the  Workshop Event detail page, as mentioned above, or from the list of workshops displayed from "Workshop Registration".

The first page requires your choice of payment methods.  It is recommended that you use the PayPal option because it is safe and secure, and it immediately completes your registration for the workshop. Your other option is to "Pay Later". You must select the Pay-Later method, which at this time is limited to Pay by Mail.  Note that no registration is complete until payment is received. Select which option you prefer, and click on "Next Step".

The next step is to fill out the registration information table with your personal registration information. All items with a red star are required for registration. To complete this step and continue, click on the "Send" button. You are then asked to confirm that the information you have entered is correct before continuing on. You have the option of going "Back" to correct any errors, or moving forward by clicking "Send".

If you have chosen to pay using PayPal, you will be taken to the PayPal site. If you have a personal account with PayPal you will be directed to enter your account name and password, and you can process the payment there. If you prefer to pay using credit card, you will be directed to "continue".  Your payment information will be collected on a secure page, and your credit card will be billed safely.  The charge will show up on your account with the word "MILLENNIUM3" prominent in the detail.

"Downloads" takes you to the downloads page where you can download files.  For the most part, this will be your access to brochures and registration forms. All forms will be in PDF format, meaning you will need Adobe Reader to access the files. Adobe can also be downloaded from this site. Just look for the Adobe icon.

There are three options on the "Download" main page.  The first is "Download Home", as designated by the "house" icon.  This is the same as the "Download" main page.  This page lists the categories of files available for download. When you click on one of the category names, you are taken to a list of files in that category.

The second icon is "Search Document". You may search for a file to download using key words in the name and description of the file. You may limit the search to certain categories, and you may specify what order you want the results to be displayed.  You may specify some search logic by indicating whether to look for single words or combinations of words, or whether to include or exclude such words. The search is initiated by clicking on "Search".

"About Millennium3" presents information about Millennium3 Workshops, and about Wes Goodenough, workshop presenter.

"Web Links" lists various web links of potential interest to site visitors.

Following the "Main Menu" is the "Site Login". Site membership is not available at this time.

"Center Column" The center column is where the bulk of site content is displayed.  The action icons at the top of the page allow various actions on the content in the center column when they are visible.  Not all icon actions are available for all content.

The PDF icon allows download of the current content in PDF format.  This download may be displayed or saved, depending on your computer's options.  The Print icon will display a printable version of the current content in a separate window. The Email icon will initiate sending the current content in an email.

"Right Column" The right column contains various content.  Normally you will se a listing of "Upcoming Events". These are scheduled workshops coming in the near future. The number of events listed is limited, so the distance into the future is variable.  In addition to the Upcoming Events, other featurs may also be displayed for interest or information, e.g. Polls on various topics.
